Nick Finzer is a 2012 graduate of the Juilliard Jazz Masters program in New York City and earned a Bachelors of Jazz and Contemporary Media from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY.
Nick is currently the Assistant Professor of Jazz Trombone at the University of North Texas (the first to hold this position!). Prior to teaching at UNT, Nick has served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Jazz Trombone at Florida State University from 2014 - 2016, and also taught as sabbatical replacement at Hunter College in NYC.
He is the author of GET AHEAD! A Practical Guide for the Developing Jazz Trombonist and tours the country visiting K-12 schools, Universities, and music stores, sharing his passion for the music!
Nick is currently available for clinics, masterclasses, in person lessons, and guest artist appearances. Nick also offers lessons via Zoom/Facetime.
