New Jazz Orchestra Single Out Today: “We, the People”

Sometimes a piece of music doesn’t ask permission — it just shows up.
“We the People” wasn’t written for a project.
It was written in response to a moment.

This tune emerged during one of the most turbulent and uncertain weeks I can remember — and instead of commentary, it became a soundtrack for hope.

It’s the first single from my upcoming big band album, The Jazz Orchestra Volume 1, and it features a powerful arrangement by Jack Courtright, a young trombonist, composer, and one of my former students at UNT.
